Sew YUMMY!
Posted on August 27, 2008 at 12:30 a.m.

Since today is "Whatever Wednesday" I thought I would share some random musings about my weekend.
So the cutest ever Megan Hoeppner (Senior Editor for Simple Scrapbooks Magazine) came all the way up to Hyde Park where I live and spent a few hours learning to sew! Megan's goal was to make some fun flower brooches that she could wear on a jacket, in her hair or on a necklace. My dear friend Tasha and I taught her to do all kinds of fun techniques. Above is a photo of a few of our creations.
So stay tuned tomorrow for “Tips and Tricks” on how you can make fabulous flower creations with our new Rip Strips. They will look like the yummy creations we made with Megan only you don’t have to sew anything! Thanks Megan for the fun, my only regret was that you couldn't stay longer! Come again, you are always welcome.
I spy Nancy aka Starwomenten!

I was admiring a new garland by Linda Harrison at scrapbook.com and this Lay-out caught my eye... It is by a woman named Nancy and can I just tell you how I love it so! The sewing... the circles... the colors... the swirls... it is all such yummy goodness! This Lay-out is also a perfect example of how you can use Tinkering Ink for a clean and simple look with a touch of fun! Thanks for getting the Ti groove Nancy! If you know Nancy, drop her an e-mail and tell her she is on our BLOG today!
A+ Teachers
Posted on August 25, 2008 at midnight
Have your kids (or you) gone back to school yet? My boys start school today.
Andrew's teacher is a fun, huggie, lovable, dramatic 1st grade teacher who has been teaching at this school since it opened 25 years ago. She truly loves all her children. I anticipate a fun year for Andrew.
Nathan is in a special ed class for his main subjects. And we have been so lucky that his teacher has moved up with him. This will be his 3rd year with her. She and I just clicked. She and Nathan just click. She has a true gift and talent.
So this post is dedicated to all the A+ teachers out there.
And how perfect is this Provincial Fare A+ card by Betsy Veldman.

What the heck happened to FREEBIE FRIDAY?
Posted on August 23, 2008 at 1:13 a.m.
Well ladies I'll tell you what happened...
Our web-dude Neum Schmickwrath (yes that is his real name) decided that he would "update" our site... you know that maintenance that should take place at 3:00 AM when everyone is sawing logs (except the UK and Australia)
So to make a long story short... he experienced some "technical difficulties" and yes, I called him numerous times, always explaining that "IT IS FREEBIE FRIDAY!!!"
So now everything is back to working and he has given me his word that he will NEVER "update" on a Friday again (I threatened him within an inch of his life)
SO HERE IS SUPER SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!

We are giving away Renee Pearson's Book called Digital Designs for Scrapbooking to one lucky winner! I just love, love, love this book and I love Renee!
You have all of today and tomorrow to leave a comment and we will draw on Sunday evening and post the winner. My most humble apologies for the Friday updating mishap. Good Luck!
